My son Eric's band, Zen, is competing at a "Battle of the Bands" tomorrow morning! So to all you fans out there, come out to Liberty High School in Frisco.

Tiger Woods won Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Invitational yesterday with a beautiful 25 foot birdie on the final hole, avoiding a playoff. Woods looked perplexed when caddie Steve Williams handed him his hat. "I was like, 'How in the hell did he get my hat?' " Woods said. "Evidently, it came off. I need to see the highlights. I was so into the moment of the putt going in and winning the golf tournament."


This makes 6 straight wins in a row for Tiger, who has now tied Ben Hogan for 3rd place on the all-time PGA wins list at 64. He is only 32 years old! The all-time leader is Jack Nicklaus, with 82 wins. Tiger could pass that in the next 2 or 3 years.

OK, I admit it... I suck for disappearring for so long. :(

It's not that I've been sleeping... things have been very busy. In case I didn't explain, I started a new job last year. I am working at Sungard Higher Education as the General Manager of a professional services team. We help to implement the "ERP" software that runs many unversities around the country. I have traveled to a number of this campuses getting familiar with my distributed team of consultants. I have also been working hard to expand our services offerings. So this has left me pretty well exhausted while I get adjusted to a new company.

And I have been doing a lot of fun stuff too. I have seen out-of-town friends and family over Thanksgiving & Christmas. A batch of us went skiing over New Year's. Last week I went on my first cruise as part of a big family reunion for my dad's birthday. And I got to see Stevie Wonder perform in December at the Nokia - awesome concert!

So my new year's resolution: more timely posts!
